Gaelscoil Chill Mhantáin is an all Irish primary school based in Wicklow Town. They required a multilingual website to allow them to keep parents updated with school news, curriculum changes, school policies and student activities. All content on the website needed to be available in both Irish and English.  Irish needed to be the default language.

The school had an existing non responsive html website which was maintained by one teacher.  They wanted a new website which  would allow all of the teachers in the school to update their own pages on the website. I recommended using WordPress to build the website and created different User Profiles for each member of staff.  This gives teachers confidence to post their own News items without fear of deleting or accidentally changing their colleagues work.

The website uses some beautiful photos of the children’s work and it is their creativity which comes to the forefront. I used a neutral design which allows the pupils and teachers work to be the focus of the website.  Each teacher has been assigned their own class page with it’s own distinctive images and News Posts.
